GRADUATING SENIORS

Abigail Heinrich
Abigail joined Lakeland 14 years ago as a Prelude student. She will be attending Bob Jones University to study Nursing, with plans to earn a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and become a nurse practitioner. She will be bringing her viola to college with her and playing with the University Symphony. Playing viola for so many years has taught her to be patient and endure hardships. She hopes students in Lakeland will continue to “enjoy rehearsals and learn from their conductors and teachers.”

Sophia Olup
Sophia has played cello with Lakeland for two years. She will be attending the University of Arizona and studying Astrobiology. She will be bringing her cello with her to play in the non-music-major symphony. She tells Lakeland students “if you are enjoying your time in LYSO, you are doing it right!”
Lucas Harvey
Livia Ludlam
Max Ansenoff
Mark Murphy
Hani Weiman

Ava Gestwick
Ava has played with Lakeland Youth Symphony for the past year. She will be attending Ithaca College in the fall, majoring in Music Education and getting a Masters Degree in Woodwind Doubling. She’ll be playing in every ensemble she can! After graduation, she wants to play on Broadway and teach. Her advice to Lakeland students is: “Live in the moment, take in every bit of information you can while still having the time of your life because you never know what that moment is over until it is.”

Fiona Celli
Fiona has been playing with LYS for 4 years. She will be attending Binghamton University and studying Italian in order to be a translator. She will be playing in a percussion ensemble, jazz ensemble, and any other bands they offer! Playing music has taught her how to work with others to create something amazing and work hard to create the best sound possible on her instrument. She encourages students behind her to “follow you passions and be yourself! and practice.”
