Quick Details

  • MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Zoom Ensemble Meeting on Sept 10! Each conductor will send out an individual zoom link for their ensemble. They’ll cover music and group scheduling for the new year.
  • Each student will receive a Lakeland Youth Symphony mask to wear at the concert and whenever they want 😊
  • All rehearsals and classes will be “livestreamed” / recorded over Zoom each week
  • All students will be required to wear masks indoors due to state regulations
  • Temperatures will be taken before entering the building
  • For orchestra rehearsals, no parents or guests will be allowed in the rehearsal space to maintain small numbers
  • For Preludes, classes will be no larger than 6 students with one parent assisting each student
  • Conductors will be using hand sanitizer for tuning between students, but please work with private teachers to learn tuning individually and minimize this need.

Even if you plan to attend virtually each week, please let us know if there’s a possibility you’ll participate in person sometime during the season. Please provide 24-hr notice if you’ll be present, so we can make sure we stay under the “indoor gathering” limit.
